If you're looking for adventure in Northeast Wisconsin, Marinette County is a destination that belongs on your bucket list. With more than 200 miles of forested ATV/UTV trails connected to nearly 1,000 miles of scenic riding routes throughout the region, riders can explore everything from towering pines and rolling hills to breathtaking waterfalls and charming trail-friendly communities.

Nine convenient park-and-ride locations provide access to the county's extensive trail network, and many hotels, campgrounds, restaurants, and businesses welcome ATV/UTV enthusiasts. In many areas, riders can even travel directly from their lodging to the trails using designated road routes.

Ride Through Wisconsin's Waterfall Capital

One of the most unique ATV/UTV experiences in Marinette County is exploring the area's famous waterfalls. Several of the county's most popular waterfalls can be accessed by ATV/UTV, allowing riders to combine scenic trail riding with unforgettable natural attractions.

Waterfalls accessible by ATV/UTV include:

• Strong Falls at Goodman Park
• McClintock Rapids
• Twelve Foot Falls
• Eight Foot Falls
• Long Slide Falls

Visitors should use an up-to-date Marinette County ATV/UTV map and follow all posted county and town road signs, as seasonal restrictions may apply. ATVs must be parked in designated corrals at Goodman Park and Twelve Foot Falls Park, while the main parking lots at McClintock Rapids and Long Slide Falls are available for ATV parking.

Trail-Friendly Parks & Camping

For those looking to extend their adventure, Marinette County offers several parks that accommodate ATV/UTV riders.

At McClintock County Park, located just north of Silver Cliff, campers can ride directly from their campsite to the trail system. While ATV use is not permitted within nearby Goodman Park, a designated trail-side parking area is conveniently located within walking distance of the park's scenic waterfall. Twelve Foot Falls County Park also features a dedicated ATV/UTV parking area for visitors.

Built and Maintained by Dedicated Volunteers

Marinette County's ATV/UTV trails are maintained by passionate local ATV clubs and volunteers who work throughout the year to keep the trail system safe and enjoyable. Designated trails are marked with state-approved brown trail signs, while green signs identify approved road routes that connect riders to communities, services, and additional trail segments.

Know Before You Go

Before heading out, keep these important reminders in mind:

• Most county and town roads permit ATV/UTV use, but exceptions do exist. Always check local municipality regulations before riding.
• Dirt bikes and other motorized bikes are not permitted on Marinette County recreation trails.
• A valid Wisconsin ATV/UTV registration or Wisconsin nonresident trail pass is required.
• Trail conditions and temporary seasonal closures, particularly during spring thaw, can affect accessibility.
